Pine Rivers resident, Daniel Wagner held a solo exhibition”Works of Fiction” at The Art Factory Gallery in South Brisbane. The exhibition was prompted he says, by the supportive and enthusiastic response from clients and fellow artists. The focus of the exhibition was to make available original pieces that are ” Interesting; have no deliberate social or political comment, and are pleasing to the senses.” Daniel is presently on a sabbatical from mainstream employment and pursuing more creative activities. He has always held a passion for literature, visual arts and matters imaginative and now intends to immerse himself in these activities. His paintings have sold quickly to private collectors and his works are in private collections at Port Douglas, Germany, Melbourne and in Sth East Qld.
He is a foundation member of The Arts Alliance of Pine Rivers, an organisation formed to raise the profile of the arts in the shire. His style is eclectic to say the least; the argument being that with each production comes a new experience. The many varied styles exhibit a passion for adopting new concepts and exploring their possibilities, whilst maintaining a healthy respect for past masters. Daniel goes on to say,” With each piece I endeavour to invoke a feeling ;a memory or an empathy that transports the viewer to that fleeting instant when recognition of the piece or an aspect of the work makes a link subconsciously with the viewer.” Daniel may be contacted at danielwagner1@msn.com
