Community Heritage Grants
|
Grants of up to $15,000 are available to community groups around the country to help preserve and manage locally held, nationally significant cultural heritage collections for future generations. Community organisations such as historical societies, museums, public libraries, archives, Indigenous and migrant community groups which provide access to their cultural heritage collections are eligible to apply. The Nature Conservancy Australia Nature Writing Prize |
|
The award seeks to promote and celebrate the art of nature writing in Australia as well as encourage a greater appreciation of Australia's magnificent landscapes. Closing date for entries: 30 September 2010. No entry fee. All entries will be independently judged by literary journalist Sally Blakeney and Australian renowned poet Mark Tredinnick. The successful entry will receive a prize of $5000 and the work will be published in indigo journal in early 2011. For an entry form as well as terms and conditions please email Australia@tnc.org. Steaming - 7 Aug 2010 - Redcliffe Cultural Centre (8:00pm) Six women from diverse background meet on ‘ladies day’ in a London bathhouse where they share the most intimate details of their lives, loves, dreams and frustrations.
