The Arts Alliance of Pine Rivers Incorporated, has operated for 5 years, and developed into a dynamic and leading team for the promotion of arts in the region. An opportunity has arisen for our group to apply to become a QAC Local Arts Council.
This application process includes support from the Moreton Bay Regional Council, members of the Arts Alliance of Pine Rivers Inc., and members of the public arts community.
The public meeting will explain the transition process, and will be attended by the AAPR committee, MBRC representatives, QAC representatives, and any member of the public arts community. This meeting is expected to be approximately one hour duration.
Queensland Arts Council is the peak body for regional arts in Queensland, and supports 50 Local Arts Councils across Queensland.
Local Arts Councils are staffed by volunteers and arts administrators whom encourage artistic expression. They provide opportunities for participation in cultural experiences and community collaboration. QAC supports each LAC with advice, resources and visual arts touring exhibitions. Local Arts Councils are independently incorporated bodies, affiliated to Queensland Arts Council.

ARTSLINK QUEENSLAND
Queensland Arts Council is currently enhancing its position as the peak body for regional arts in Queensland and celebrates its 51st anniversary with a new trading name: Artslink QueenslandArtslink Queensland aims to be the 'go to' organisation for regional arts that connects, represents, adds value and is the engine room for innovation and creativity in Queensland.
Artslink Queensland will connect artists and communities through the arts in Queensland. This builds on 50 year history of regional arts, exhibitions, schools and adult performing arts touring across Queensland.
